Assignment: PapaJohns.com Usability Testing

After creating a screener questionnaire and conducting a moderated usability test on PapaJohns.com, I was tasked with creating a finalized report.

Assignment

Over two weeks, analyze usability sessions and create a report on your findings.

Watch the videos. When you are watching the videos:

• Print the list of tasks in advance or paste them into your word processor.
• Watch each video and take detailed notes from each of the sessions.

Try to answer the following broad questions:

• What are the expectations of ordering online and were they met or not?
• Isolate a few of the problems that people had with the interface and document those.
• Take notes with quotable comments that capture the general tone of the study. These are valuable to help the client understand the study on a personal level. People love quotes!

For each of the 3 tasks, you are to assess:

• Is the interface successful in helping people complete the task?
• Did individuals complete them in a similar or different way and provide quotes.

Organize the report in the following way:

• Cover page with information about the study
• Table of contents
• Executive summary (no more than 1 page)
• Website being assessed
• Methodology
• Participant information
• List of tasks
• Synopsis of findings
• Analysis of:
  • Task 1
  • Task 2
  • Task 3
• Follow up research questions

Make sure to include screen captures from the web page and reference any participant’s video segments. Make note of the participant and the time on the video.
