Assignment – Guerrilla Usability Test: The Pocket Casts App 

 Three-part assignment – Test a mobile app the way it occurs most often – in the field with no lab equipment other than a camera.

UsabilityModule/Week 1 

• You and your group will select an app to test and set some general criteria for recruiting three participants each.
  • As a group, we chose the Pocket Casts app, and the recruitment criteria were podcast listeners.
• Collaborate on a test script.

Module/Week 2 

• Conduct three mobile usability tests of the app using the same test script.

Module/Week 3 

• Individually analyze the results of all 12 sessions you and your group conducted, and individually synthesize the results and write a short report presentation.
• Read and critique your group’s reports before submitting your own.
